DENMARK: Kristian Strand has been appointed president of commercial compressors in a reshuffle of senior management at Danfoss.
Strand has been president of the company’s refrigeration and air conditioning controls business since 2018. He joined Danfoss as vice president, industrial refrigeration in 2017 after nine years at the Bitzer group in a number of senior roles.
The role as president Refrigeration and A/C Controls has been filled by Torben Pedersen who moves across from president of Danfoss’ residential heating business.
Pedersen spent over 10 years at Nokia before joining Danfoss as senior director, procurement, in 2005. After a three-year hiatus, he rejoined Sauer-Danfoss as vice president of global procurement in 2010.
Sofie Irgens, head of Danfoss’ burner components business, will take the role as senior vice president, residential heating.
