UK: The Institute of Refrigeration has signed an MOU with the US-based International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR).

The agreement sets the stage for collaboration on advocacy, publications, education, technical activities, and research in areas of common interest, including the use of energy-efficient, safe and economically viable technologies that use ammonia and other natural refrigerants.

The MOU establishes the framework for continuous communication, conferences and meetings, and information sharing between our two organisations.

The IIAR members represent every aspect of the ammonia refrigeration industry and are drawn from over 50 countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

“This new alliance between our organisations is a huge step forward, enabling our UK and US members to exchange valuable information in relation to system energy efficiency, safety and standards across the arena of ammonia and natural refrigerants,” commented IoR president Mike Creamer.

“Our cooperation will underpin research, informative documents, technical conferences and other joint activities, all for the benefit of Members, end users and very importantly, our world environment,” he added.
