INDIA: The Indian government has imposed anti-dumping duties on the import of Chinese R32 and HFC refrigerant blends R410A and R407C.

India claims the refrigerants have been exported at a price below normal value and negatively impacted its domestic industry.

The duties to be imposed range from just over $1,000 per tonne to $2,250 per tonne and have been imposed for a period of five years.

The move follows representations from Indian refrigerant manufacturer SRF. In addition to being the only Indian manufacturer of R32, SRF also manufactures R410A and R407C.
